The Federal Transit Administration (FTA) has announced that 17 projects in 15 states will receive funding to improve public transportation for people with disabilities, older adults, and individuals with low-incomes.

The $7.8 million in grants represents the next round of funding from the Innovative Coordinated Access & Mobility (ICAM) Pilot Program. The grant selections support organizations that coordinate public transportation for underserved groups, allowing them to access healthcare, community services, education, and jobs by building partnerships among health, transportation, and human services providers.

President Biden’s Bipartisan Infrastructure Law provides $24 million for this program through 2026.
